Even as news of job cuts around the world indicates a bleak job market in the offing, TCS's latest job announcement is a breath of fresh air for freshers. India's top IT giant, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, announced on Wednesday that it would recruit 40,000 freshers. The news came on the heels of the robust results the company announced on Wednesday.
As the TCS family expands, I want to recognize to outstanding work done by our recruitment team in quickly scaling up hiring and onboarding the greatest talent available so that TCS can fulfill its delivery promises and realize growth. We are honoring all employment offers, and on a net basis, in FY 23 we hired 22,600 more people. over 44k freshmen and our highest-ever number of seasoned professionals were onboarded during the course of the year. we also intensified our efforts to build organic talent, earning over 53K cloud certificates in the course of the year to increase the total number of personnel with hyper scaler platform certifications to over 110K. According to Chief HR Officer Milind Lakkad, this positions us in the top 2 partners for the biggest cloud providers.
